RIMMS’ User Data Policy
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA).
“User Data” refers to personal information (such as name, contact details and other related personal information) that has been collected by RIMMS.TV Ltd in order to enable authenticated access to the RIMMS system.
“Client Data” refers to the data which is collected by RIMMS as a part of its service; in the most part, personal details of contributors and other persons associated with television programmes and films being made by users of the RIMMS system. This data policy DOES NOT seek to apply to “Client Data” and is instead expressly limited to “User Data”
“RIMMS” refers to the company RIMMS.TV Ltd and its service provisions understood colloquially as the “RIMMS System”
What do we do with your information?
RIMMS.TV Ltd requires a certain amount of information from all its users in order to facilitate safe and secure use of its services. This information includes a user’s first name, last name, email address, job title and cell/mobile phone number.
We will never share your personal information with any persons outside the RIMMS support team, and it will only ever be processed by the team for the purposes of facilitating your access to the system. Your data will be stored within the UK and on request your user account can be deactivated at any point, although doing so will end your access to RIMMS services. You may also at any time request a copy of all of the data which we hold on you which will – after initial access to the system – include a record of login history and download activity within the RIMMS web system.
The information you submit to us when setting up your account will never be used for marketing purposes.
In the event of a data breach, RIMMS may have a legal obligation to submit data access records to a court or investigative body. However, once an account is deactivated, only the Account Name and Account History will be retained for submission. User contact information such as cell/mobile number and email address is automatically erased from the RIMMS servers on the deactivation of your account.
By submitting your information to RIMMS, you are agreeing to the data policy as described above.
